About the Opportunity:

On behalf of our client, a forward-thinking consultancy, we are seeking a talented Mobile Application Developer to join their team on a contract basis. This consultancy works across various sectors, delivering innovative digital solutions, and they need someone with the right skills and enthusiasm to help drive their projects forward.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications, working closely with both the consultancy’s internal team and their clients. This is a predominantly remote role, with flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Java and Kotlin

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise app performance

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, ensuring high-quality standards are upheld

• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to understand requirements and deliver solutions on time

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in Android development, with strong skills in Java and Kotlin

• Familiarity with the Android SDK and a solid understanding of different versions of Android

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team

• Excellent communication skills – confident in engaging with clients and conveying technical concepts clearly

• A proactive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy
