Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with spoken French (relocation to Belgium)

We are seeking a talented Automation Test Engineer with good spoken French or Dutch willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

Mission:

The Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of applications by performing the following tasks:

1. Test Plan and Scenario Development

• Write comprehensive test plans and detailed test scenarios based on existing documentation and functionalities.
• Make recommendations for tests to execute (e.g., non-regression tests) based on acceptance criteria defined in User Stories.

2. Test Scenario Types

• Functional Testing
• Non-functional Testing (including volume and performance testing)
• Integration Testing
• Non-regression Testing

All documentation must be written in clear, accessible English.

3. Test Data Preparation

• Create necessary test data for executing the test scenarios.

4. Test Execution

• Efficiently execute test plans and scenarios, track bugs, and ensure issues are addressed before application deployment.
• Collaborate with the team to stay within project timelines.

5. Test Automation

• Select and automate appropriate test cases for inclusion in the automated test suite, in coordination with the team.
• Implement the automated tests.

6. Defect Management

• Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Update test documents with test results.
• Collaborate with developers and the project leader to achieve high-quality application delivery.
• Provide the final "Go" for deployment from the test to the acceptance environment.
• Investigate and reproduce bugs found in the acceptance or production environments.

7. Task Distribution:

• 30% Test specification

• 10% Test reporting

Requirements:

• Experience in writing test plans and test scenarios.
• Proven experience in test automation; knowledge of Robot Framework is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of basic IT concepts such as service/client applications, web services, and protocols (Front end, back end, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
• MQTT experience is a major plus.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., handling tickets) is an advantage.
• Experience with Windows applications, web applications, and tools like Grafana and Prometheus is a plus.
