About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Ruby Backend Developer to work on impactful projects for our client. This is a 100% remote position available to candidates across LATAM. You will be responsible for developing scalable and reliable backend systems using Ruby, collaborating with a global team of developers, and driving the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Ruby.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a backend developer, with strong proficiency in Ruby.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with international teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the tech startup ecosystem or working for international companies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
