Job Description

Position: Senior UX Designer (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Remote (Canada)


We are looking for talented UX Designers to join our client's team, a prominent multinational tech company. This contract-to-hire role offers the opportunity to work on innovative products and experiences that are helping to shape the future of technology.


Location and Work Schedule:

This is a fully remote role. Candidates from both the US and Canada are encouraged to apply, but you must be available to work within PST hours.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design process from initial concept to product release, ensuring the delivery of high-quality interaction designs.
  • Manage and oversee the design of multiple features and product areas.
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
  • Address complex design challenges by creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences, incorporating elements of motion, sound, and brand identity.
  • Use user research data to inform and evaluate design decisions.
  • Produce visual tools like storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes to clearly convey design solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers, to refine and deliver top-notch results.
  • Maintain consistency across the product by coordinating with design teams throughout the company.
  • Align design solutions with both user and business goals, advocating for their implementation.
  • Exhibit self-direction and take responsibility for managing your own workflow.
  • Apply expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Uphold and champion the company’s culture and core values.
  • Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends and best practices.
  • Promote user-centered design principles within the development team.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX or Interaction Design with a strong focus on user experience (UX).
  • Hands-on experience with design systems.
  • Expertise in designing for multiple platforms, including desktop, web, mobile, and extended reality (XR).
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and After Effects.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design work (Applications without portfolios will not be considered; please include a password if applicable).
  • Experience with service design is a plus (highlight relevant projects in your application).
  • Proven ability to solve complex design challenges and create delightful user experiences.
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver design solutions.
  • Knowledge of user testing research and accessibility standards.
  • Prior experience mentoring designers is an asset.

  • The contract can be structured as T4 employment or through incorporation, depending on the candidate's preference.
