Job Overview

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing client-facing APIs that will serve our applications, consuming third-party APIs, assisting in ETL processes, ensuring the reliability of the backend system and building developer tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop APIs to facilitate our client apps' functionality
• Maintain the existing backend monolith
• Facilitate the integration between our backend and third-party software providers
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate data from various sources
• Utilise the existing observability stack to monitor and respond to failures
• Build internal tooling that is necessary for the operation and usage of our system
  
  
  

Requirements

• Required:
• 3-5 years of Golang experience
• Experience in designing and developing backend APIs
• Experience in working with SQL databases
• Experience with consuming and integrating third-party APIs
• Ability to design and implement internal developer tooling
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Specialisation in PostgreSQL (highly appreciated)
• Familiarity with pipeline/jobs libraries (e.g. River, Temporal)
• Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with AWS and infrastructure tooling (e.g. Terraform)

Compensation

• Starting from 1,800 EUR NET monthly, negotiable based on experience and skills
