We have been exclusively retained by a reputable Energy Storage business to build their brand-new Mechanical Engineering team from the ground up for their new facility, only completed in recent weeks.

Reporting into the Sr Director we are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to scale a team.

With multiple sites across the U.S. and products already deployed, this new team will focus solely on developing the next generation of utility-scale, multi-day energy storage systems. You'll engage in early-phase development and explore alternative concepts.

The role is based in Greater Pittsburgh, with a competitive compensation package that includes relocation assistance (for those who need it) and equity options.

What we need:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; with 10+ years of industry experience
• Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and mentoring direct reports
• Well-developed experience designing mechanical components and assemblies composed of low-cost metal and plastic for high-volume manufacture in a hardware product development company
• Expert in new product development for high-volume manufacturing Experience implementing design for manufacturing & assembly (DFMA) principles
• Strong technical communication skills, especially with external parties and across internal functional teams
