Azure DevOps Engineer (relocation to Belgium)
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Cloud DevOps Engineer willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.
This role requires a proactive and technically skilled individual with a DevOps mindset and the ability to manage complex infrastructure in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Your Role:
- Manage IT infrastructure and services for Belgium and Luxembourg.
- Ensure smooth and secure performance of systems, monitoring the entire infrastructure from network to application server.
- Maintain service continuity of legacy systems while deploying new assets using a DevOps approach (Agile) with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Puppet.
- Implement and test backup, restore procedures, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Proactively manage and monitor system performance, integrity, availability, and accessibility.
- Report infrastructure issues promptly and implement solutions.
- Keep infrastructure topology documentation (system, network, storage) up to date.
- Configure and maintain deployment of server templates and workstation images.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot software packages and updates.
- Ensure assets are up to date and protected from vulnerabilities.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and assist other IT teams in issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in ICT or equivalent knowledge, with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Strong networking knowledge, including switching, routing protocols (CCNA level), and firewall management.
- Proficient in both Windows and Linux OS, with expertise in scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, Python).
- Experience with automation software (Puppet, Terraform, Packer), virtualization (VMware), backup solutions (Veeam), and storage management (NetApp).
- Hands-on experience with servers and blades management (Cisco UCS).
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure) and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Active Directory.
- Familiarity with deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a holistic approach to project management.
- Open-minded, innovative, and adaptable in a changing business environment.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer-friendly and professional attitude.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks, or IEC 62433.
