Unikie is seeking a Lead Cloud Developer to strengthen our team in the UAE.

Location: This position is based in Abu Dhabi – UAE and relocation is a requirement.

Introduction

Unikie is looking for a Lead Cloud Developer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, the role will be in designing, implementing, maintaining cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, and optimizing solutions to meet business needs. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, proficiency in Azure services, and the ability to develop scalable and secure applications. As a leader in cloud architecture projects, the lead cloud developer will play a key role in shaping cloud strategy, ensuring scalability and reliability in particular topics related to cloud security.

Required Qualifications

• MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or related fields
• 6+ years security engineering experience
• Proven experience as a Cloud Developer with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, storage, and networking.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Golang, Rust or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of cloud design principles and best practices
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with security standards, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Azure AI and machine learning services.
• Knowledge of security best practices in Azure, including identity management, encryption, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
