About the Opportunity:

We’re on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Firmware Developer to join our top-tier Electronics team. You’ll be at the heart of our Saskatoon-based crew (or maybe hybrid or remote if you’ve got what it takes). Sure, there might be some travel to our production facility and a few test sites, but who doesn’t love a little adventure?

Here’s what you’ll be up to:

• Crafting firmware for custom embedded systems and getting down to business with our products.
• Developing software to wrangle electrical-hydraulic systems like a pro.
• Designing board support packages for our top-notch gear.
• Troubleshooting hardware and making those driver issues bow down to your expertise.
• Putting your stamp on new products by helping with concept development.
• Testing technology, algorithms, actuators - you know, the fun stuff.
• And, of course, making sure everything runs safely (because, let’s face it, we like to keep things non-explosive).
  
  

You’ll also be working closely with other teams like purchasing, manufacturing, and service - basically, you’ll be the person everyone wants to talk to. And guess what? We even want your input to improve what we do. Yep, you’ll be that important.

About You:

You’re not just any firmware dev - you’ve got 7+ years of embedded software experience, and you can code C/C++ in your sleep. Bonus points if you’ve got agricultural experience, but if you’re a rockstar in this field, we’re willing to chat. Here’s the lowdown on what you need to bring to the table:

• Degree in Engineering/CS (or you know, something that proves you’re smart).
• Expertise with embedded platforms, operating systems like FreeRTOS, Linux, or NVIDIA JetPack.
• Knowledge of ARM processors, hydraulics, electric motor control, and displays.
• Independent software development plans? You’re all over it.
• Machine learning, machine vision, IoT, cloud connectivity - yep, we’re talking the whole futuristic deal here.
