Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist – Dublin (Hybrid Working)

€120,000 - €170,000 + Bonus & Stock Options

AI connect are partnering with a global AI unicorn to help them build their diverse machine learning research team. The company have one of the most innovative AI platforms which uses a variety of large language models to support user experience both from a customer and employee perspective using state of the art AI agents and AI copilots.

The role:

1. You’ll work as part of a team responsible for defining new ML features, researching appropriate algorithms, and rapidly getting first prototypes in to customers’ hands.
2. You’ll be passionate about applying machine learning technology, working in a team that have productized everything from classic supervised models, to cutting-edge unsupervised clustering algorithms, to novel applications of transformer neural networks.
3. Identify areas where ML can create value for customers, research and identify the right algorithms to develop.
4. Deeply understand the problem area and conduct exploratory data analysis and research before identifying the solution.
5. Work alongside product and design teams with the aim of creating better outcomes for users.
6. Raise the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence

Skills & Experience:

1. Experience working in a fast paced machine learning environment ideally product focused and has enabled you to build ML solutions which are user friendly.
2. Advanced programming skills with the ability to test your work.
3. Good knowledge of statistics & a mix of machine learning and deep learning techniques such as classification, CNNs and reinforcement learning as well as testing of statistical hypotheses and evaluation of ML models.
4. Excellent problem solving skills with a natural scientific mindset where you rely on data and evidence when making judgements.
5. Significantly demonstrated impact that your ML work has had on the product and/or the teams
6. Have led projects from a technical perspective and have provided support to more junior scientists.
7. Experience of LLMs and NLP is highly advantageous.
8. PhD or other research level experience highly advantageous.

Please note, the role will most likely involve relocating to a EU based location and compensation will be provided for any relocation costs.
