Cloud Data Engineer / Azure Data Engineer / Cloud Database Engineer / Azure Database Engineer

Full Remote working from any cities in the UK.

Our client is a well-known US fashion brand with over 20,000 employees and 3000+ stores globally. They have established enterprise cloud, datacentre, infrastructure and database teams across North America, Mexico and India and are looking to grow their technology team in Europe.

You will be their first Azure/Cloud Data Engineer for EMEA and likely to lead a small team in the near future.

You will plan, analyze, design, test and deploy cloud database solutions globally:

-Design and deploy cloud database technology solutions in Azure using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

-Design deployment strategies to migrate from old database technologies to new technologies including private cloud to public cloud migrations.

-Architect, implement, and support cloud database solutions in geographically dispersed datacenters and public clouds

-Develop Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform and other tools

-Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance, availability, and recoverability

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree or higher;

-Experience using two or more of the following toolsets: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, XL Release, Artifactory, GitHub, Continuum, PowerShell

-3+ years’ experience managing database environments in Azure

-Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for database automation and maintenance tasks

-Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database performance issues

-Willing to take on call responsibilities

Permanent role, full remote working, offer up to £50k base plus 10% bonus, private healthcare and other benefits. Also provide training for the professional certificates and career progression to tech lead.
