Why is this role needed?

Mereo is transforming fan engagement with their favourite artists through innovative web3 technologies. In this role, you'll be pivotal in bridging the gap between the complex UX of web3 and the smooth, intuitive experience of web2 platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Mereo continues to grow, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the design and product direction of our platform, which will likely include:

• Planning and Delivery: Collaborate with the team to plan and manage the Mereo platform, prioritize component requirements, and establish a clear path for future work.
• Advocacy and Enablement: Lead the development of reusable UI/UX patterns for Mereo, ensuring consistent and efficient delivery across teams.
• Discovery and Definition: Contribute to the core of our Design Systems library by exploring and refining components and patterns.
• Maintain Tooling: Enhance the Figma design library with new technologies, integrations, and ongoing support for Mereo websites and presentations.
• Measuring Success: Evaluate Mereo initiatives and features through data collection and analysis, providing insights for business decisions.

• A Systems Mindset: Contribute to building a world-class design system for Mereo, enhancing user experience and business value. Increase designer and developer efficiency by refining existing component guidelines and defining new concepts.
• Collaboration and Communication: Engage in cross-team and cross-functional collaboration. Provide and receive constructive feedback, address system-related queries, and work closely with team members. Clearly articulate, draft, and publish guidance to help Mereo make informed decisions. Communicate effectively with engineers, sharing knowledge through articles, documentation, and presentations.
• Designing for the Web and Mobile: Ensure that components and patterns meet the needs of all users by considering accessibility, responsive design, web standards, common UI patterns, and usability best practices. Stay informed about design innovations and deliver thoughtful, inclusive solutions.
• Systems-to-Product Alignment: Identify and recommend the appropriate components and patterns to help designers create coherent, consistent, and engaging product experiences across Mereo’s platform.
