Job Description

Akkodis is an Engineering staffing firm, assisting a well-known aerospace firm in the Wichita area with their search for a Hydraulics Test Engineer. This is a permanent, direct hire position, and they're offering a salary range of $100-120k (flexibility beyond), along with great benefits and bonus structure. Relocation assistance is available to non-local candidates.

In this role, you will be responsible for the testing of hydraulic aircraft components, including troubleshooting and calibration. You’ll be conducting R&D test engineering, including reverse engineering processes and calibrating test instrumentation. This site is an MRO facility.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, MRO experience is strongly preferred
  • Testing background and working with hydraulic systems/schematics/pneumatic systems/electrical schematics
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret hydraulic component drawings
  • Support creation of hydraulic testing standards, parameters, and instrumentation
  • Proficiency with CAD design and drafting, Solid Works
  • Proficiency with Lab-view/PLC Programming
  • Experience working with calipers, micrometers, and basic measuring instruments
  • Experience with calibrating test standards and instrumentation, understanding standard units of measurement for accurate calibration of flow, pressure, rpm, thermal and vibration
  • Proficiency in using measurement equipment such as 3D scanner, optical comparators in reverse engineering efforts for new product development
  • Strong understanding of probability and statistical inference, fluid mechanics, loads, thermodynamics
  • Understanding of FAA CFR145 repair station guidelines
  • Able to work on-site in the Wichita, Kansas area
