Associate Director of Interior Design

Due to an increase in projects won, the company, an established and highly successful design firm that provides fully integrated end-to-end services, is looking to expand its team with an Associate Director of Interior Design for their Kuwait office.

As an Associate Director of Interior Design, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range and scale of projects from ideas through to delivery. In addition, to being a thoughtful leader who can motivate and develop teams.

This position will see the successful individual based from the company’s head office but working across the wider GCC overseeing ID projects and working closely with the Interior Design Director – therefore, regular travel is required for this position.

Requirements:

Associate Director ESSENTIALS requirements:

• 20+ years’ experience as an Interior Designer with Corporate Workplace, Commercial / Retail or Hospitality project background.
• 10+ years’ experience managing / overseeing a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or equivalent.
• Ability to lead design meetings and technical reviews.
• Experience taking projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in the use of Revit and other 3D BIM computer design programs.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Exposure to projects with a focus on LEED and WELL sustainable goals.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E in commercial interiors, hospitality or corporate workplaces.
  
  
  

Associate Director DESIRABLE requirements:

• Middle East work experience.
• LEED AP Accreditation.
• WELL Certification.
• IIDA Membership.
• RIBA / AIA or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Lumion, Vray, Grasshopper, Sketch Up and InDesign.
