Role Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will work directly with clients to design, build, and implement high-impact software solutions that drive business value. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on client sites in Berlin and have the flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days a week. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple industries, solving complex problems while contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust software solutions for clients across various industries including fashion, automotive, retail, and banking.

• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and client teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, customized solutions.

• Provide technical leadership, guiding junior engineers and contributing to the architectural decisions that shape project outcomes.

• Ensure the software solutions you build are secure, scalable, and maintainable, following best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during development and post-deployment.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology, ensuring that the solutions delivered to clients are cutting-edge and efficient.

• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met and the final product aligns with client needs.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering team’s processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).

• Experience in full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end technologies.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a consulting or client-facing role.

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, with the ability to build scalable and maintainable systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

• Ability to work on-site at client locations in Berlin, with flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

• Right to work in Germany (relocation assistance available if needed).
