We're seeking a Cloud Technology Leader for EPAM Romania with an enterprise application engineering background and experience with Public Cloud services. Cloud Technology Leader is a Director-level role focused on designing cloud strategies and implementing cloud-native architectures & applications for our clients, driving R&D & IP creation for EPAM Cloud Practice, and promoting within our teams the Cloud technology mastery & culture of engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Driving application development and modernization at scale
• Designing and implementing cloud-native architectures and applications, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Strong understanding of modern cloud application development approaches, such as serverless computing, microservices, and containers
• Cloud Strategy
• Designing and implementing cloud strategies and best practices for our clients
• Developing and implementing cloud migration plans, multi-cloud strategies, and building and managing cloud-based infrastructure
• Agile Development
• Implementing and managing agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of applications
• Providing oversight for significant and strategic delivery projects executed out of Serbia
• DevOps
• Promoting and nurturing a DevOps culture within the engineering team, fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement
• Communication and Stakeholder Management
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including clients, executives, and technical and non-technical staff
• Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely
  
  

Requirements

• Avid technologist playing a technology leadership role in a leading international or local company
• Software engineering background in complex enterprise application development in Java, .Net or Python
• Good understanding and hands-on experience with Public Cloud computing services
• Previous exposure to IoT is strongly preferred
• Responsibility for sizeable teams. Ideally, experience managing distributed teams and working in a matrix environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to proactively organize and influence stakeholders and build strong and effective working relationships
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language. Public speaking and client presentation experience
• High energy style & ambitious, flexible, and adaptive approach, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Permanent motivation for growth, challenge, and change
• Willingness and ability to make regular business trips, both domestic and international
