Cloud Security Engineer
Opportunity for professional growth and development in the rapidly evolving field of cloud security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with architecture function in designing and implementing security controls and best practices for GCP environments.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security requirements and provide guidance on secure cloud architecture.
- Assist the vulnerability management team in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with security threats and trends, and recommend enhancements.
- Assist in compliance efforts by implementing security policies and procedures.
This is a 6-month contract role. Candidates will work 100% remotely during EST hours.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with security best practices, including encryption, access control, and identity management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- At least 1 year of security experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
