Network Design Engineer

Network Engineer (Designer) – Fully Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Creation of MoP for network tasks (including operational needs, release/patch upgrades, backup)
• HLD/LLD design documentation for device template creation, and parameterisation
• Create Cisco configuration templates using Jinja2, XML, JSON
• Identify network automation requirements from device configuration and wider network impact
• Collaborate with wider network solution design team to understand cross-team dependencies
• Identify test scenarios (happy path and unhappy path)

Experience:

• Strong expertise in Router configuration (ideally Cisco IOSXR), commit and undo/rollback operations
• Experience in network device bootstrapping and zero-touch provisioning
• Understanding of OpenConfig YANG models
• Good knowledge on routing protocols, BGP and VPN
• Solid understanding of L2/L3 VPN configuration designs, parameterisation, variants, CoS settings
• Experience working in agile projects, ideally with Jira
• Working experience with Git
• Strong documentation skills
• REST/NETCONF API use, testing experience
• Python knowledge
• Preferred Robot knowledge
