Senior Laravel Developer with Expertise in PHP and API Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality Laravel applications: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code using the Laravel framework. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• API Development and Integration: Lead the development and integration of robust, scalable APIs, including designing API architecture and managing API documentation and versioning.
• Database Management: Work extensively with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Code Quality and Review: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns, such as SOLID principles. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Version Control: Utilize version control systems like Git to manage code repositories, handle branching, merging, and conflict resolution effectively.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose complex issues, evaluate problems and design solutions, focusing on improving software performance and user experience.
• Cloud Services: Develop and deploy applications on cloud environments, ensuring they are optimized for scalability, reliability, and performance. Implement cloud-based solutions and integrations as required.
• Collaboration and Agile Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software on time.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, specifically with the Laravel framework.
• Proven experience with RESTful APIs, including creating, maintaining, and documenting complex APIs for various applications.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, with experience in database schema design and optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of code versioning tools and workflows, particularly Git.
• Solid understanding of the MVC architecture and modern software design patterns.
• Proficiency in developing cloud-based applications, with experience in deploying and managing services in a cloud environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with front-end technologies like Vue.js or React.
• Understanding of web security practices and implementation.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA or Trello and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
