About The Client

Our client operates one of the top 10 largest globally peered IPv4 and IPv6 networks, enabling providers to connect more efficiently with their end users, regardless of location.

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial experience in network security and engineering
• Extensive expertise in Linux-based systems with a strong emphasis on network security and DDoS mitigation
• In-depth knowledge of packet filtering technologies, such as iptables, nftables, or pf, including experience with hardware offloading (e.g., Intel DPDK)
• Proven track record in architecting and deploying DDoS mitigation solutions, particularly at L3/L4, with potential expansion to L7
• Hands-on experience in leveraging x86 hardware for advanced firewall and packet filtering implementations
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  
  

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced DDoS mitigation solutions, with a focus on packet filtering and scrubbing architecture
• Design and optimize the use of iptables/nftables/pf for efficient rule management and hardware offloading
• Lead efforts in implementing and enhancing L3/L4 packet filtering solutions, with the potential to extend to L7
• Utilize deep technical knowledge of x86 hardware to drive innovation in firewall and filtering capabilities within the network infrastructure
