# Senior Data Engineer
## About the Role
BridgeFund is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and evolve the data platform that supports lending decisions, risk models, funding, portfolio management, and business intelligence.
You will work within a compact team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to turn complex data flows into scalable, reliable, and explainable data products. The role covers data platform architecture, ingestion pipelines, credit and behavioural scoring, dashboards, and MLOps foundations.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Risk teams to translate business needs into data products that improve decision-making, automation, and insight generation.
## Key Responsibilities
* Define and deliver the data product strategy and roadmap across Lending, Funding, Risk, and related domains.
* Prioritize initiatives, manage the data product backlog, and align stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
* Translate business requirements into scalable data products that improve decisioning, automation, and insights.
* Work with the Head of Data, Product, and Engineering teams to turn company objectives into actionable data initiatives.
* Build scalable datasets, credit and behavioural scoring models, and performance dashboards.
* Design and develop data ingestion pipelines and scalable data platform architecture.
* Contribute to MLOps foundations that support reliable data and model operations.
* Establish and maintain standards for scalability, data quality, governance, documentation, and compliance.
* Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to safeguard data quality, governance, and documentation.
* Measure product and data impact through experimentation, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
* Communicate complex technical and data concepts clearly to teams and leadership.
* Provide data scientists and analysts with reliable tools and platforms that enable efficient development and analysis.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, or ML Engineer.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.
* Strong experience with Python and/or PySpark.
* Solid SQL skills.
* Familiarity with Databricks and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
* Experience with data orchestration tools such as Databricks Lakeflow Jobs, Airflow, or Dagster.
* Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
* Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing.
* Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.

## Education & Experience

## Work Arrangement & Schedule
* Location: Randstad, Flevoland, Netherlands
* Work arrangement: Remote
* Remote work from abroad: Up to two weeks per year.
