About the Company
We are looking for an OS Middleware Architect to lead the core architecture design and key technical breakthroughs of the middleware layer in HarmonyOS, building a unified middleware architecture that supports the coexistence of multiple ecosystems.
About the Role
The role will drive the implementation of middleware capabilities across products such as smartphones and PCs, ensuring consistent, high-performance experiences across devices and scenarios. You will also closely monitor industry trends and key technologies in operating system and middleware architecture, incubating key operating system technologies for the next 2–3 years.

Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the overall architecture planning and technical roadmap of the HarmonyOS middleware layer, leading the evolution of the middleware architecture while balancing technical debt with business requirements.
- Design a unified middleware architecture that supports the coexistence of multiple ecosystems, ensuring cross-platform compatibility, scalability, and high performance.
- Address key performance and stability challenges at the middleware layer, including memory management, startup speed, compatibility, and scalability.
- Establish development standards and specifications for the middleware architecture, and build an automated testing and quality assurance system.
- Closely monitor industry trends and key technologies related to operating system and middleware architectures, and contribute to the evolution of next-generation system technologies.

- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications, Electronics, or a related field, with a deep understanding of operating system implementation principles.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with at least one mainstream operating system, such as Android, iOS, Fuchsia, ChromeOS, HarmonyOS, or EulerOS, with a strong understanding of terminal system software architecture and frameworks, as well as hands-on experience in system-level application and framework development.
- Hands-on commercial experience with mainstream middleware architectures, including experience addressing significant technical challenges related to middleware systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and drive technical transformations through to implementation.
- Based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate.
