Senior Research Scientist - AI & Machine Learning for Financial Services

An innovative AI and Data Consulting firm specializing in digital transformation for the financial industry is looking for a Senior Research Scientist to bridge cutting-edge research with real-world AI deployment. Unlike traditional research roles, this position allows you to spend approximately 60% of your time solving challenging AI problems for major financial institutions and 40% conducting independent research, with company support for publishing papers and presenting at leading international conferences.

What You'll Do

• Lead advanced AI and machine learning initiatives for enterprise financial clients
• Design and validate algorithms using LLMs, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Optimization
• Solve complex technical challenges through research-driven approaches
• Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and production-ready AI solutions
• Conduct independent research aligned with your interests
• Publish peer-reviewed papers and present research at domestic and international conferences
• Translate research outcomes into commercial AI products and client solutions

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent research achievements
• Experience publishing peer-reviewed research papers
• Deep expertise in Machine Learning, Optimization, or Statistical Modeling
• Strong mathematical and analytical background

Preferred

• Publications at top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, etc.)
• Research experience in LLMs or Generative AI
• Experience with financial datasets
• Experience deploying research into production systems
