What You'll Be Doing
- Own critical infrastructure components and drive architecture decisions with high autonomy.
- Keep the platform stable, secure, scalable, and performant under enterprise-scale traffic.
- Build the internal tools, systems, and best practices that product engineers depend on.
- Partner with leadership, product, and engineering on roadmap and architecture.
- Work directly with enterprise customers on infrastructure feedback and issues.
Requirements
- 4+ years as a software engineer building distributed systems.
- A software engineer who works on infrastructure, writing services and systems rather than only operating or maintaining infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, with the coding ability to pass a rigorous algorithmic coding screen held to the same bar as product engineers.
- Demonstrated systems design skill for large distributed systems.
- Backend development in Golang or a comparable systems language.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP): deploying, scaling, and monitoring at production scale.
- Experience building or scaling systems for enterprise-grade traffic or multi-tenant SaaS.
- Working familiarity with infrastructure tooling such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Kafka (baseline awareness, not deep specialization).
