Job Title: IT Manager/Director

Location: Abu Dhabi/Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Full-time)

Reporting To: CEO / COO


Job Purpose

The IT Manager will oversee, maintain, and secure our organisation's technology infrastructure and software systems in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This role requires managing local IT operations, leading a technical support team, and coordinating with global vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership and be ready to transition smoothly into the UAE business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee on-premises servers, cloud environments, network architecture, and telephony systems.
  • Operations & Support: Manage the daily operations of the local helpdesk and ensure high availability of business-critical systems.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity frameworks, manage firewalls, enforce data backup policies, and align with UAE data privacy laws.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate and manage local and international service level agreements (SLAs) with hardware and software providers.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Draft annual IT budgets, monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX), and optimize operational expenses (OPEX).
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and evaluate a multicultural team of system administrators and desktop support engineers.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a reputable firm in India.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP/MCSE), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ITILv4, or AWS/Azure certifications are highly preferred.


Technical & Soft Skills

  • Cloud & Networking: Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, hybrid networks, VPNs, and enterprise Wi-Fi systems.
  • ERP & Software: Experience managing enterprise resource planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or industry-specific business platforms.
  • Adaptability: Exceptional communication skills in English with the ability to manage diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical capabilities to resolve complex system outages and operational bottlenecks rapidly.


Relocation & Compliance Requirements

  • Degree Attestation: Possession of an Indian university degree duly attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India and the UAE Embassy.
  • Passport Validity: A valid Indian passport with a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of travel.
  • Medical Fitness: Ability to pass the mandatory UAE medical fitness test (blood test and chest X-ray) required for residency visa issuance.
  • Relocation Readiness: Willingness to relocate to Dubai within a standard 30 to 60-day notice period.
