Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Golang Platform Engineer to join the Container Technology & Operations team within Platform Engineering in Amsterdam.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic Kubernetes-based platform services that enable application teams to build, deploy, and run secure, scalable, and resilient applications within a large-scale banking environment.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, automate, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services using Golang.
  • Build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platforms.
  • Work with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, networking, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and automation.
  • Develop and improve platform automation and developer experience.
  • Support production platforms, troubleshooting, incident management, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Risk, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.


Qualification & Experience

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Golang / Go.
  • Strong production experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Experience with Platform Engineering / Cloud-Native architectures.
  • Strong Linux and networking knowledge.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and automation.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • Strong troubleshooting and production operations experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.

Nice to Have

  • CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification.
  • Experience with OpenShift or other enterprise container platforms.
