Technical release manager
- Manage the various independent product release trains through their full lifecycle.
- Assist the product managers and team leaders with coordinating and scheduling multi deployment releases.
- Own, monitor, and enforce the testing and release phases of our SDLC and our change management policies.
- Own the QA process and train the QA team members.
- Master our usage of Azure DevOps and generate documentation, guidelines, and training material.
- English Communication
Responsibilities:
- Own and run our independent release trains for our various products & services.
- Oversee automated and manual CAB procedures and hold the leadership teams accountable to company policy.
- Define and own our QA/Testing processes and strategy and train our teammates across all teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks to delivery and initiatives and coordinate with product and team leadership to facilitate effective dependency management.
- Find ways to improve our current processes and generate documentation, guidelines, and training material.
Required skills:
- Strong spoken and written English
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with release scoping, project management, and production release activities.
- Experience with QA and burden of proof/test planning.
- Experience working with and delivering multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS).
- Experience with Agile and Azure DevOps (the Microsoft product).
Desired Skills:
- Experience with low/no-code test automation tools.
- Experience with progressive release techniques including feature flags and dark launches.
- Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans
