Senior Frontend Engineer - Fully Remote

We are partnering with an ambitious European fintech that is changing how SMEs manage their money. Its online banking platform supports businesses across Europe with banking, payments, and financial-management tools, combining an excellent product experience with the security and reliability required in financial services.

As part of an international engineering team, you will work on core customer-facing applications used every day by business customers. You will have genuine ownership over the features you deliver, collaborate with experienced product and design colleagues, and contribute to a frontend platform that is scaling quickly.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain responsive, reliable web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deliver user-facing features end to end: contribute to discovery, translate requirements into practical solutions, develop, test, release, and iterate.
• Partner with Product Managers, Product Designers, backend engineers, and QA to create intuitive experiences for complex banking and payments workflows.
• Consume and integrate API-driven services, working closely with teams building Java-based backend systems.
• Improve application performance, accessibility, test coverage, security, and overall user experience.

• Contribute to shared frontend components, coding standards, architectural decisions, and technical documentation.
• Take part in peer reviews and promote high standards for readable, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Help colleagues develop through knowledge sharing, pairing, and constructive feedback.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial frontend engineering experience building modern, customer-facing web products in production environments.
• Hands-on expertise with JavaScript and TypeScript, including an ability to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Experience delivering features from idea to production within a cross-functional development team.
• Confidence integrating web applications with APIs and working effectively alongside Java backend engineering teams.
• Good understanding of web performance, responsive design, automated testing, accessibility, and secure development practices.
• Previous experience in fintech, banking, payments, or another regulated environment is highly desirable.
