Junior Web Designer

Alpine Business Consulting is looking for a Junior Web Designer to assist our technical and reporting teams with visual and front-end tasks. In this role, you will contribute to digital projects for an Antwerp-based logistics company, ensuring that their finance and analytics interfaces are both clear and functional for the end user. This is a full-time, fully remote position that focuses on practical design within complex data environments.

We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates.
Our approach moves away from typical implementation theatre. We prioritize finance-first configurations and fixed-price engagements, giving our clients certainty before any work begins. We do not believe in keeping clients dependent on us. Instead, we build administrator training and documentation into every project so teams can run their systems independently after go-live. We are a remote-first team of consultants who understand that a dashboard is only useful if the data is accurate to the cent and available the morning a period closes. Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation.

What You Will Do

• Drafting web layouts and interfaces for client reporting portals and internal tools.
• Updating and maintaining the company website alongside technical documentation pages.
• Building visual components for dashboards using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Ensuring that complex finance data and tables are displayed in a way that is easy for users to read.
• Collaborating with EPM consultants to skin platforms like Oracle or SAP for better usability.
• Creating digital assets for client presentations, training manuals, and system walkthroughs.
• Testing web interfaces across different browsers and devices to ensure consistent performance.
• Participating in remote team calls to discuss project status and specific visual requirements.
• Organizing design assets and version history to maintain a clear record of project changes.

What We Are Looking For

• Basic familiarity with HTML and CSS and a general understanding of web design principles.
• A portfolio or examples of work that show an ability to organize information and data clearly.
• Interest in how data and finance systems function within large, international organizations.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding layout alignment, spacing, and font consistency.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while keeping regular contact with the team.
• Willingness to learn about specialized EPM platforms and how design supports finance reporting.
• Capacity to handle feedback and iterate on designs based on technical constraints or client needs.
• Strong communication skills in English to explain design choices to consultants and developers.
