- Hybrid / Visa Support / Global IT Projects / Cloud & Infrastructure -

A Japanese company is currently recruiting a Senior System Engineer to support IT infrastructure consulting, project management, and system operations in Houston, Texas.

The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for leading infrastructure transformation projects, including cloud migration, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and enterprise systems, while supporting customers and internal teams through technical expertise and project leadership.

The ideal candidate should have strong systems engineering and project management experience, hands-on cloud and infrastructure knowledge, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Supporting the Division Manager in daily operations and leading key IT infrastructure projects

• Providing IT infrastructure consulting including cloud migration, security, compliance, and technology planning

• Leading project management activities including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, WBS creation, and stakeholder reporting

• Managing cloud migration projects including on-premise server migration to Microsoft Azure

• Supporting implementation and management of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, endpoint security, and identity management solutions

• Managing enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, monitoring systems, and data centre operations

• Coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Supporting system design, implementation, operation, security assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives


Ideal Candidate

• 7–10 years of experience in systems engineering and project management

• Experience managing IT infrastructure projects with both technical and project leadership responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects, preferably Microsoft Azure

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and enterprise infrastructure systems

• Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operations

• Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience managing budgets, resources, and project schedules

• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMI is preferred

• Customer-focused, proactive, and able to work independently

• Business level of fluency in English

• Japanese language skills are strongly preferred


Conditions

• Location: Houston, TX, USA

• Working Style: hybrid (3 days in office per week, subject to business requirements)

• Salary: $140,000-$150,000 per annum depending on experience

• Job Type: permanent, full-time

• Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday

• Start: negotiable
