Job Description
About Us
We're a global cryptocurrency exchange with a large international user base and deep liquidity across spot and derivatives. Our institutional business serves professional trading counterparties worldwide. The team is remote-first and globally distributed — we care about what you can do, not where you sit.
The Opportunity
Professional trading flow — market makers, funds, asset managers — accounts for the bulk of volume on any major venue, and the programs sitting behind that flow decide whether it stays with you or moves elsewhere. Fee tiers, rebates, incentives, liquidity arrangements: this seat owns all of it, from structuring the program to modelling what it earns to proving the result afterwards. You'll work alongside business development, relationship management, product, and risk as the institutional side of the business scales.
Your Remit
- Run day-to-day operations for professional trading clients — market makers, hedge funds, asset managers, prop firms, brokers — covering onboarding, documentation review, and fee tier assessment
- Structure liquidity arrangements and maker/taker rebate and incentive schemes, and see them through launch and post-launch review
- Model the commercial impact of fee and incentive changes before they go live, then measure what actually happened
- Track how competing venues price and incentivise, and advise on where we should position
- Own the reporting layer for institutional performance: volume, liquidity contribution, revenue by account
- Work through large trading datasets to surface accounts worth pursuing and accounts going quiet, and pass those to the commercial team
- Partner with engineering on colocation, API, and latency support for latency-sensitive clients

What You Bring
- Several years in market maker operations, institutional client operations, trading operations, or exchange analytics — exchange-side crypto experience is what we're after, though brokerage, derivatives, or traditional venue backgrounds are worth a conversation
- Real exposure to professional counterparties: market makers, funds, asset managers, prop trading firms
- Genuinely hands-on analytics — SQL, modelling in Excel, Tableau or similar — and the ability to work from raw data rather than waiting on a polished internal data platform
- Working command of maker/taker economics, rebate mechanics, order book liquidity metrics, and how market makers actually make money
- Incentive programs you've built or run where you can point to what changed as a result
- The ability to turn a spreadsheet into a recommendation someone senior can act on
- Fluent English; Mandarin useful given the client mix
- Suited to autonomy and a fast-moving remote setup

Why Take the Call
This isn't a dashboard job. The fee and incentive structure for our institutional business is yours to shape — you build the case, you model it, and you see the volume respond. Direct line to institutional leadership, counterparties among the most sophisticated trading firms in the market, and an analytics function you get to build rather than inherit.
