  • Test applications across both Intel and Apple Silicon (ARM) Mac devices to identify platform-specific issues, compatibility challenges, and performance differences.
  • Create, maintain, and refine detailed test cases based on product requirements, UI exploration, and user workflows.
  • Develop structured test documentation including test descriptions, execution steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Review and enhance AI-generated test plans by removing redundancies, identifying missing scenarios, and improving test accuracy.
  • Perform comprehensive bug reporting with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, screenshots, and relevant logs.
  • Validate complex user interface behaviors, including multi-window workflows, drag-and-drop interactions, modal dialogs, menu bar functionality, and installation processes.
  • Test MacOS-specific application components such as .app bundles, Info.plist configurations, file associations, and native interface behaviors.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements, investigate defects, and support continuous product improvements.
  • Contribute to testing processes involving integrations such as Outlook Classic, modern Outlook, authentication flows, and AI-powered application features.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong experience in manual software testing, particularly for desktop applications on MacOS, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving technical environment.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in manual testing of desktop applications.
  • Hands-on experience testing applications on MacOS with access to Mac hardware for verification purposes.
  • Strong understanding of MacOS application behavior, including .app packages, system integrations, and native UI patterns.
  • Experience designing and executing test cases from product specifications, user flows, and exploratory testing.
  • Ability to create clear and structured testing documentation using spreadsheets or similar formats.
  • Strong debugging skills with experience identifying, reproducing, and documenting software defects.
  • Familiarity with complex desktop application workflows, including installers, multi-window interfaces, and advanced UI interactions.
  • Experience testing Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Outlook Classic and modern Outlook environments.
  • Knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Microsoft Teams and GitLab.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing Microsoft Entra or OAuth authentication flows.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered applications, LLM-based products, or conversational AI testing.
  • Experience validating MacOS installers, including .app and .dmg packages.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility to work from your location.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to the quality of an innovative AI-powered desktop product.
  • Collaboration with a global, product-focused engineering and development team.
  • Direct access to developers and product stakeholders for fast issue resolution and feedback.
