DevOps Engineer (Contract, Remote)

Role Description The DevOps Engineer will work in a contract, remote capacity, collaborating closely with development, operations, and project teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing and managing infrastructure as code, and overseeing system administration tasks across Linux-based environments. The role involves monitoring and optimizing application performance, enhancing deployment reliability, and improving automation across the software lifecycle. The DevOps Engineer will also contribute to security best practices, documentation, and cross-functional communication to support scalable, resilient systems for client projects.

Qualifications

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience with Software Development practices, including scripting or programming in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Hands-on expertise in Continuous Integration and delivery using platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Solid System Administration background with a focus on Linux environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
