Job Description
About the company
Our client is a San Francisco AI company building an agentic delivery platform for enterprise ERP transformation, one of the largest and least automated corners of enterprise software. They crossed $3M ARR in their first 11 months, are already deployed inside global consultancies and systems integrators, and have raised roughly $22M to date. The 15 person team comes from Stanford, Meta, Two Sigma, Microsoft, and NASA.
The role
This is the founding talent hire. You will build the recruiting function from zero and own how the company hires as it scales across San Francisco, São Paulo, the US, and Europe, reporting directly to the Co-Founder and COO.
What you'll do
- Own full cycle recruiting across technical roles (engineers, AI/ML, ERP consultants) and non-technical roles (chief of staff, sales), roughly a 70/30 split
- Build the recruiting process end to end: interview questions, screening criteria, and evaluation frameworks that a team of first time hiring managers can actually run
- Act as a strategic partner to the founders and hiring managers, challenging assumptions and pressure testing what each role actually needs
- Own compensation benchmarking and offer negotiation, and help stand up the company's first leveling structure
- Drive employer branding, events, and creative sourcing to reach talent that competitors are not looking at
- Establish the talent ops foundation (ATS hygiene, pipeline reporting, hiring rituals) that a fast scaling team can grow into

- Built or helped build a recruiting function from scratch, not just executed an inherited playbook
- Track record recruiting technical talent (engineers, AI/ML, or technical consultants)
- Hands on with a modern ATS (Ashby, Lever, or Greenhouse)
- Comfortable owning compensation benchmarking, offer structuring, and closing
- Pushes back on hiring managers with real critical thinking rather than simply taking orders
