Staff/Lead Backend Engineer (Go) - Fraud Detection Infrastructure

Most backend engineers build APIs. A few build systems that fight back.

Every day, billions of mobile ad events are generated. Somewhere in those billions are fraudsters using emulator farms, fake installs, SDK spoofing and device modifications to game the system.

We're looking for a Staff/Lead Backend Engineer (Go) to build the infrastructure that stops them.

📍 Hamburg, Germany (Relocation Support Available)

• 3 days week in office

You'll be joining a high-performing engineering team building distributed systems that:

• Process billions of events every day using Kafka, SQS & SNS
• Scale Go microservices serving hundreds of millions of users
• Design ultra-low latency data layers with DynamoDB, Cassandra or ScyllaDB
• Detect sophisticated fraud in real time with millisecond response time
• Lead engineers, shape technical direction and mentor a world-class team

We're looking for someone with experience in:

✔️ Go (Golang) backend development at scale

✔️ Microservices & distributed systems

✔️ Event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS/SNS)

✔️ NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB)

✔️ AWS, Azure or GCP

✔️ Technical leadership and mentoring

Bonus points if you've worked with Android or iOS development, security, fraud prevention, reverse engineering or have the mindset of someone who enjoys figuring out how systems can be broken before attackers do.
