Security Operations Center Analyst (SOC 1) - 100% remote


Location: Remote (U.S.) | Preference for Austin, TX

We're partnering with a leading Managed Security Services organization to identify a Tier 1 SOC Analyst who is passionate about cybersecurity and eager to grow within a fast-paced Security Operations Center. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their cybersecurity career while working alongside experienced security professionals supporting enterprise clients.


This role is ideal for individuals with a strong IT foundation who have transitioned into cybersecurity or are looking to launch their SOC career.


What You'll Do

  • Monitor and triage security alerts across multiple customer environments
  • Investigate suspicious activity and identify false positives
  • Escalate security incidents to senior analysts when appropriate
  • Analyze logs and security events using SIEM and endpoint security platforms
  • Follow established incident response procedures and documentation
  • Continuously develop your cybersecurity knowledge while working alongside experienced analysts


Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Microsoft Defender
  • Splunk
  • SentinelOne
  • CrowdStrike Falcon
  • Palo Alto Cortex
  • Other SIEM or EDR platforms


Candidates with previous SOC experience are encouraged to apply, but strong IT professionals with hands-on experience are also highly encouraged.

Schedule

  • Primarily first shift/day shift
  • Fully remote within the United States
  • Austin-area candidates are preferred for occasional team-building events but are not required
