Role Overview
As a 2D Concept Artist at Twin Fang, you’ll play a pivotal role in the early visual development phase of game projects. You will be responsible for crafting imaginative concepts—including characters, props, environments, and mood explorations—that serve as the creative blueprint for production. This role blends artistic innovation with client-focused flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D concept art, including:
- Characters, creatures, props, environments, vehicles, and UI sketches.
- Mood paintings and key visuals that define tone, lighting, and atmosphere.
- Collaborate with Art Directors, 3D artists, and external clients to match style and vision requirements.
- Rapidly iterate ideas through thumbnails, sketches, and visual explorations.
- Adapt to a variety of art styles (stylized, realistic, semi-realistic) based on client needs.
- Contribute to world-building through strong visual storytelling and consistent design language.
- Maintain organized PSD files and naming conventions for efficient asset hand-off.

- 3+ years of experience in concept art or visual development in game production or creative agencies.
- Strong portfolio showcasing versatility in concept work (characters, environments, props, etc.).
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint or equivalent tools.
- Excellent understanding of anatomy, form, color theory, perspective, and light.
- Ability to adapt to different art styles and maintain visual consistency.
- Clear visual storytelling through design—shape language, silhouette, and mood.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with cross-cultural teams.
- Familiarity with the production pipeline of 3D games (understanding what concept art needs to convey to modelers).
