The role
We are growing and we are looking for a Data Scientists who likes to build and improve things from end to end. You will own development projects and data work, help shape new capabilities rather than only maintaining what already exists, and work in a small team where learning is fast and your impact is visible.
The data we work with is unusually varied. In any given week you might touch signals and sound, images and video, free text, and molecular data spanning genetics, epigenetics, the microbiome, proteomes and metabolomes. Each comes with its own structure and dimensionality and part of the fun is finding methods that actually fit the problem in front of you. Clear visualisation of what the data is telling us is core to the job, not an afterthought.
What you will do
- Build and improve data pipelines and analytics workflows
- Automate processing steps and tune them for performance
- Develop backend services (REST APIs) and integrate data from different systems
- Work with databases and build internal or client-facing web applications
- Support modelling and analysis across varied data types, from omics to sound, image and video
- Visualise results and communicate insights clearly

Requirements
We care more about ability and curiosity than the exact line on your diploma. Talented bachelor's graduates, master's graduates and PhDs are all welcome and we match the role and salary to what you bring.
Must have
- Strong interest in biology and/or healthcare
- Experience with Python and backend development (e.g. REST, Django)
- A degree with a quantitative focus (Mathematics, Computer Science or similar)
- AI / ML experience (e.g. PyTorch, scikit-learn)
