Job Description
We are adding an AI Output Tester to our team to help us verify the data our internal tools generate for our clients. You will be responsible for checking the accuracy of automated summaries and data extractions, ensuring that the software we build remains reliable and useful for the businesses that depend on us. This is a part-time, contract role that is fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment while helping us maintain high standards for our technical deliverables.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to use when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.
The role
In this role, you will be the final check on whether our AI integrations are doing their jobs correctly. Much of our work involves moving data between systems or using language models to categorize information for logistics and operations teams. You will spend your time reviewing these outputs and comparing them against source documents to catch errors, hallucinations, or formatting issues.
Your day to day tasks will involve reading through text, checking facts, and logging errors in a clear, structured way. You will help us identify patterns in where the AI fails so that our developers can adjust the prompts or the underlying code. This work is repetitive but vital. Without this testing, our clients might end up with incorrect inventory data or flawed reports. You will work closely with our lead engineers to report your findings, and you will have the flexibility that comes with a fully remote, part-time schedule.
What you bring
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally organized and notices the details that others might skip over. Since this is an entry level role, we do not require a computer science degree, but you should be very comfortable using web based software and digital tools. You should be the kind of person who enjoys proofreading and checking facts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ability to follow complex testing instructions without constant supervision.
- A steady, patient approach to repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
- Basic technical literacy, such as knowing how to use spreadsheets and browser developer tools.
- A reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work.
- Honesty regarding what you do and do not know.

- Experience using AI models like ChatGPT or Claude for personal or academic projects.
- Basic knowledge of how data is structured, like using JSON or CSV files.
- Past work in data entry, proofreading, or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control tools.
- Interest in how businesses use software to manage operations and logistics.

When you work here, you are joining a group that values quiet productivity over long meetings. We do not have layers of middle management. You will usually talk directly to the person who wrote the code you are testing. We value the fact that our work helps real people, like warehouse managers or operations teams, get their jobs done with less frustration. This position is a paid contract, and we offer a rate that is competitive and attractive for entry level work in the software industry. We provide a respectful work environment where your feedback is taken seriously, and your contributions directly lead to better software for our clients.
Our team is built on trust and directness. We do not expect you to know everything on your first day, but we do expect you to ask questions when you are stuck. We are a group of professionals who enjoy building things that work, and we are looking for a tester who shares that same pragmatic outlook on technology. If you enjoy digging into the details and ensuring that a system functions exactly as it should, you will find our workflow very satisfying.
