Junior React Developer

We are adding a new Junior React Developer to our small team to assist with a specific project for our partner, who is a major provider of logistical infrastructure. This project involves building out the user interfaces for internal dashboards that help their operations teams manage high-volume data without relying on fragmented spreadsheets. You will spend your time building clean, functional components that make complicated tasks easier for the people who manage warehouses and shipping routes every day.

The Role
As a Junior React Developer, your primary focus will be on the front-end of the internal tools we build. You will work closely with our senior developers to translate requirements into working code. A typical week might involve building a new data table for a warehouse manager, fixing a UI bug in an admin portal, or connecting a form to a new API endpoint. We spend a lot of time cleaning up legacy code and making sure different software tools can communicate with each other. This is a role for someone who finds satisfaction in making a system work correctly and consistently, even if the work itself is not always visible to the public.

What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is organized and writes code that others can read and understand without a manual. Since we are a small team, you should be comfortable managing your own time in a remote setting and asking for help when you get stuck. You do not need to have a long list of previous employers, but you should have a solid grasp of the basics of web development. We value people who are pragmatic and more interested in solving a user's problem than in trying out every new library that gets released. You should be able to follow a design spec closely and be comfortable explaining how your code works during our internal reviews.

Helpful Background

While this is an entry level role, there are a few tools and technologies that will help you get started quickly. Familiarity with these will be useful:
