Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

Location: Houston (Onsite) (We can submit candidates open to relocation)

Type: Full-Time (Only W2, NOT C2C)

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 USD/year (up to $160K based on experience)

Benefits: 401(k) + Insurance


Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join an R&D team working on high-performance power systems. This role focuses on firmware design, optimization, and system reliability, with strong emphasis on protection systems and numerical relays.


Required Experience

  • 7–10 years in Embedded Firmware Development
  • Strong expertise in C, C++, RTOS, and Microprocessors
  • Hands-on experience with QNX and Linux environments
  • Experience with protection systems and numerical relays (power industry)
  • Knowledge of memory interfaces (NAND, NOR, DDR4)
  • Experience with communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet)
  • Strong understanding of multithreading and system architecture
