Job Description
About The Role
Join a fast-moving energy tech startup building the operating system for the next generation of energy. The platform powers modular billing engines, low-level energy-market communication protocols, and a full accounting ledger — enabling dynamic electricity plans that help businesses and consumers significantly reduce energy costs.
As a Backend Engineer on the core infrastructure team, you'll design and scale the foundational systems that make all of this possible. You'll work across billing, payments, and distributed data services in a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment.
What You'll Do
- Solve for complexity through design — architect clean, maintainable solutions to genuinely hard infrastructure problems.
- Scale the core — build and evolve the services that power billing, energy-market integrations, and accounting at scale.
- Bias for action — move fast, ship iteratively, and take end-to-end ownership of your work.
- Raise the bar — contribute to engineering standards, code quality, and team practices.
