About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This role is remote, allowing candidates from the continental United States to work from their preferred location. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that streamline network configuration, change management, and observability across multi-vendor enterprise environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable automation workflows. Your expertise in Python development combined with deep networking knowledge will be instrumental in deploying production-grade automation tools that enhance network reliability, security, and performance. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network automation and engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python development, including object-oriented programming, testing, and packaging
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals such as routing, switching, and BGP
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools like Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, or Scrapli
- Experience working with modern network APIs including NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gNMI
- Proficiency with Ansible and Jinja2 templating for network automation tasks
- Familiarity with source-of-truth platforms such as NetBox or Nautobot
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
