Key Responsibilities
Work on proactive and reactive Incident/SR/changes/SIP related to network and Network security technologies

Capture events through monitoring tools and processes; coordinate event response across all networks
Ensure proper issue escalation and effective incident resolution
Work on Service improvement activities and complete them within target dates
Provide automation solution to benefit the network operations team
Create policies and procedures related to the networking environment

Job Description


Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Network Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company.

The candidate is expected to work for a large network support and maintenance function, spanning several continents. The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in his/her domain and technical knowledge in relevant network operations. The candidate should have proven expertise in working within a team for transition support and maintenance initiatives. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for leading the troubleshooting, development, and Implementation of the network, primarily on Cisco technologies, with additional load balancers and wireless services. This person will be in charge of managing all aspects of the network environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required; an MS or MBA is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in performing various tasks in the network operations center & enterprise network troubleshooting.
  • At least 5+ years of experience working in a Global NOC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Zone-based Firewall, Firepower, and Cisco ISE.
  • Solid understanding of switching technologies - Cisco 9300/9500, StackWise Virtual, Nexus – 9K,7K, 5K, 2K, VPC, FEX, Cisco VSS.
  • Expert knowledge of routing & WAN technologies: Handling Cisco ISR/ASR routers, troubleshooting Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), implementing routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.
  • Experience with Cisco WLC, Cisco Prime, and Ruckus.
  • Experience with Zscaler proxy, PAC file changes, building/setting up private proxy nodes. Understanding of troubleshooting Zscaler ZPA etc.
  • CCNP(R/S or Security) certification required.

Nice To Have

  • Work experience with NetScaler and AWS VPC networking.
  • Understanding of the DevOps environment.
  • Basic understanding of one of the scripting languages, Python, and Shell scripting. Any projects done on this scripting language will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI and Cisco Software-Defined WAN.
  • Familiarity with low-code automation tools such as Itential.
  • Ability to document and maintain network support documentation (e.g., processes, procedures, workflows, communication/training material, service catalog, etc.).
  • Ability to lead the development of new processes and procedures within Networking, with stakeholders from across IT groups and business units.
  • Readiness to work with rotational shifts (APAC, EMEA) with on-call support.
  • Strong relationship and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent presentation skills.
  • High level of English.
