Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office


Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer (Level 1/2) to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage IT assets, support end users, and contribute to maintaining a secure and reliable IT environment.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor support ticket queues, prioritize incidents, and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 technical issues.
  • Escalate complex network, infrastructure, or system issues to Tier 3 support or external vendors when required.
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, email, VPN, and peripheral devices through remote, phone, or on-site assistance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
  • Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including inventory tracking, device deployment, hardware configuration, and software imaging for new employee onboarding.
  • Perform routine system administration tasks, including server health checks, network maintenance, and firewall rule updates.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support IT security and compliance initiatives by following organizational policies and best practices.
  • Monitor service performance and prepare reports on ticket resolution, service levels, customer satisfaction, and operational KPIs.


Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in Level 1/Level 2 IT Support or Service Desk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, email, VPN, and networking issues.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, networking, and server administration.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and IT asset management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, and endpoint security.
  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant IT certifications.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools is an advantage.
