Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Motion Designer to support our enterprise technology client's Events team across flagship experiences (e.g., Core stage experience, digital package, environmental motion, web, reusable templates). You'll partner with creative director, designers, writers and producers to concept and storyboard narratives, influence their team in Europe event through motion, and ship visually inspiring, technically sound motion assets that perform flawlessly in live environments. This is a senior, scrappy, agile, and proactive role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and elevates the work across the team.

This is a contract role for ~6 months with possibility to extend and is fully remote.

Responsibilities:
- Concept, storyboard, and create motion across different surfaces of the event. (eg: countdown, animated speaker titles, LED walls, animated website hero, etc).
- Translate brand and event creative into motion systems that consistently elevate narrative, pacing, and clarity across all screens and surfaces.
- Influence upstream design through motion: partner with art directors, designers, writers, and producers to define look, feel, and movement principles.
- Create and ship motion assets against detailed technical specs, handed off designs, and constraints (resolutions, aspect ratios, frame rates, codecs, bitrates, color spaces, alpha/looping, safe areas).
- Own QA for motion deliverables end-to-end: color check, audio sync, artifact checks, loops, and playback validation with AV partners.
- Build reusable templates, motion libraries, and guidelines that scale across events and teams; document best practices and handoffs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Brand, AV/technical directors, vendors, and external studios; manage timelines in an agile environment.
- Supporting keynote presentations with drag & drop video motion assets.

Requirements:
- 8+ years in motion design/animation shipping motion for an event, broadcast, or large-screen work.
- Expert storyboarding skills and ability to translate scripts, and ideas into motion graphics videos.
- Fluency in Figma and After Effects with strong design fundamentals (typography, layout, composition, color, timing, easing).
- Knowledge of Lottie & Cinema4D is a bonus.
- Experience shipping assets to technical specs for LED/broadcast (varied resolutions, pixel densities, frame rates, codecs, alpha, looping in sync).
- Portfolio that demonstrates both creative and systems thinking in motion and elevating static design through movement.
- Proactive and self-directed: you anticipate needs, communicate early, and remove blockers while staying aligned with partners.
- Adaptable and iterative: you work quickly through changes, test in context, and maintain high craft and attention to detail.
- Potential on-site visit during the event: you may visit the event venue once to provide motion oversight and quality assurance of your shipped motion assets in the event environment.
- Lightweight video & sound editing that's part of the motion asset.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
