Job Description
Role Description We're looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and evolve a modern Azure-based data platform that powers business growth and innovation. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams, you'll define scalable data solutions, drive architecture decisions, and help build a secure, high-performing cloud data ecosystem.
- Design and evolve scalable, secure, and cloud-native data architectures using Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Cosmos DB.
- Lead the architecture of enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and integrations, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions.
- Design modern data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud-native integration patterns.
- Define architecture standards, governance, and best practices while ensuring high data quality, security, and performance.
- Partner with Engineering teams to guide implementation, review solution designs, and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support reporting and analytics capabilities by enabling reliable data solutions for Power BI and other business intelligence platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and continuously improve the data platform by adopting modern engineering practices and automation.
- Mentor engineers and promote architectural excellence across the team.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, or Senior Data Engineer.
- Strong expertise designing enterprise data platforms, cloud data warehouses, and complex integrations.
- Excellent understanding of cloud architecture, data modelling, integration patterns, and modern data engineering practices.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience working with Azure technologies is essential, while exposure to .NET, C#, Microservices, AKS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, AWS, or architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, UML, or C4 would be an advantage.
