About ProSource
At ProSource, we build and manage highly technical distributed teams for some of the most innovative companies in the world. We believe in humanizing the outsourcing industry by finding, attracting, and retaining top talent. Our dynamic workspaces promote creativity, collaboration, and well-being. We leverage smart technologies to ensure our clients and employees thrive in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a hybrid role spanning manual exploratory testing and test automation across our web application and our native iOS and Android mobile apps. This role is AI-first. We expect our QA engineers to leverage modern AI tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor, and similar) every day to accomplish their work — accelerating test case design, automation script authoring, defect investigation, root-cause analysis, and documentation. Comfort and curiosity with AI
tooling is core to how we operate, not a side skill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned features across the client's web application and native iOS and Android mobile apps.
- Design and execute manual test plans, exploratory testing sessions, and regression suites across browsers, OS versions, and real mobile devices.
- Build, maintain, and extend automated test coverage in Playwright (web) and a mobile automation framework (Appium, WebdriverIO, or equivalent) for iOS and Android.
- Run cross-browser and cross-device testing using cloud device farms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs, and on a local real-device lab.
- Use AI Tools daily (Claude, Codex, Cursor) to accelerate test case generation, script authoring, debugging, documentation, and defect analysis — and share patterns that work with the broader team.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering early in the development lifecycle to refine requirements, identify edge cases, and shift quality left.
- Investigate, isolate, and clearly document defects, including reproduction steps, logs, network traces, and device/environment context.
- Validate APIs and backend behavior using tools such as Postman or REST clients and verify data integrity using SQL queries.
- Maintain clear, current documentation of test plans, automation coverage, and QA processes.

Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional QA experience covering both manual and automated testing.
- Hands-on automation experience with Playwright (or comparable: Cypress, Selenium) using TypeScript or JavaScript — TypeScript strongly preferred.
- Proven experience testing native mobile applications on iOS and Android, including on real devices and emulators/simulators.
- Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, or WebdriverIO
- Working experience with at least one cloud device platform: BrowserStack or equivalent.
- Experience testing responsive web applications across modern browsers and mobile viewports.
- Daily working fluency with AI coding assistants (Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similar) for test authoring, debugging, and documentation.
- Comfortable writing SQL queries to validate data and investigate issues.
- API testing experience with Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong written and verbal communication — you can clearly describe a defect, a risk, or a test strategy to engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to work core business hours in the U.S. Eastern Time zone, with sufficient overlap to collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a habit of not letting an unknown stay unknown.
