DevOps Engineer (AWS · Terraform · Kubernetes) — Freelance / Full Remote
We're hiring a DevOps Engineer for a freelance collaboration through Shakers, joining the infrastructure team of a fast-growing fintech to scale and maintain an AWS-native stack.
You'll work directly alongside the existing infrastructure engineer, owning the flow of infrastructure change requests from the development teams, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and keeping a large production environment running reliably at scale.
What you'll do
- Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Secret Manager, OpenSearch, Kafka)
- Run containerized workloads on Kubernetes/EKS: cluster management, scaling, deployment strategies, high availability
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) to automate builds, testing and deployments
- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform across the full stack
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog, CloudWatch)
- Apply cloud security best practices: IAM, security groups, VPC
- Handle infra change requests from backend and frontend teams and automate operational processes

What we're looking for
- 3+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on AWS in production (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Proven Kubernetes experience for orchestration and cluster management
- Extensive Terraform experience as the primary IaC tool
- Excelent command of English
