Role: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location:Blue Ash, OH – Onsite

Description:

This role specializes in ensuring the reliability and resilience of enterprise services across cloud, on-prem, and store environments.


Role Overview & Expectations:

- Work Location: This position is onsite 5 days a week at the BTC location in Blue Ash to work in the lab. Relocation is supported;

- Travel: There is a need for flexibility as travel will ebb and flow. Currently, travel is focused on Cincinnati and Louisville, but will expand as new sites go live (potentially every 4 weeks).

- On-Call: You will participate in an off-hours rotation split between six people, rotating weekly. The team serves as an escalation point rather than fielding all initial calls, and emphasizes a healthy work-life balance.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead and participate in Major Incident Management, driving triage and cross-team response.

- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and track corrective actions.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to define SLOs/SLIs and improve system observability using tools like Dynatrace and Azure.

- Author playbooks, runbooks, and postmortem documentation.


Minimum Requirements:


- 3+ years of experience in SRE, incident management, or production support.

- Experience with incident commander duties and bridge/war-room facilitation.

- Solid understanding of observability (Dynatrace, Azure Monitor) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

- Proficiency in Linux and scripting (BASH, Python).

- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems in enterprise environments.
